Swimming lessons

At Aspire Leisure Centre, we provide a calm and welcoming environment where swimmers of all ages and abilities can learn to swim or develop their technique. Our pool is maintained at a comfortable 31°C, ensuring an enjoyable experience for everyone.

We offer a wide range of classes, including baby and toddler group lessons, small‑group lessons for children aged 3 and above, and adult group lessons. We also provide inclusive group and one‑to‑one lessons for disabled swimmers in our fully wheelchair‑accessible pool.

Please note that we do not offer one-to-one lessons for adults or swimmers over the age of 16.

All our teachers are qualified to Swim England standards, ensuring every lesson is delivered safely, professionally, and in line with national best practice.

Our programme runs 50 weeks a year, offering continuous swimming lessons throughout the year and following the 'Swim England Learn to Swim Programme' to support steady, consistent progress. Swim England Learn to Swim Programme.

Swimschool Timetable

New users can register for an account through the link below and submit the details of their enquiry via our online registration form.

Current Swimschool members can log in to the online portal at any time to update their contact information, view lesson dates and times, and check their swimmer’s current progress.

You can also download the SwimSoft App from your app store to easily monitor your child’s development.

Swimming lessons

Our Pool

Our pool is 25 metres long with ramped access, removing the need for hoists for wheelchair users and we aim to maintain the pool air temperature between 30 and 31 degrees, making it ideal for very young, old and people with health conditions who can be temperature sensitive.

Aqua Classes

Our Aqua Classes are water based, low impact group exercise classes that are ideal for all fitness and experience levels. We offer aqua sessions to help tone muscles, burn fat and also specialist pool based exercise for disabled customers.
