Swimschool: General Questions What types of lessons do you run and when? Parent and Child lessons for 6 months to 3 years are held on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday during the day. Duckling to Stage 7 for children aged 3yrs + are held Monday to Saturday at various time Stages 8-10 are on a Monday at 19:00, Wednesday at 17:15 and Saturday 16:30 and 17:30 Rookie Lifeguard are held Saturday's only at 16:30, 17:00 and 17:30 Adult lessons, are held on a Monday 19:00 and 19:30, Tuesday 11:00, Friday 10:00 and 10:30 One to One’s (only for disabled customers) are held Monday to Saturday at various times How many students can you have per class? Swim England suggest class sizes of no more than 12 students for group lessons and 16 students for parent and child, pre comp and rookie. At Aspire we aim to keep all of our classes from Ducklings through to stage 7 including adults to lower than this. How much do lessons cost? All fees are now collected via direct debit only. Crash courses can still be paid via a paypal link or at reception. The direct debit splits the total cost of the term by the amount of months in the term with payment collected on or around the 15th of the month. September - December (4 payment) Autumn Term January - March (3 payments) Spring Term April - July (4 payment) Summer Term Parent and Child - £8.50 for 30 minutes Children’s and Adult lesson - £9.00 for 30 minutes One to One - £15.50 for 30 minutes Stage 8-10/Rookie - £13.50 for 1 hour *Please note that we no longer charge the £2.50 admin fee when signed up for direct debit Do I have to be a member? Our lessons are available for both members and non members. Do we need to bring anything like armbands etc? All equipment needed for the lessons is supplied by us. You just need to bring your swimming wear, towel and wash kit. How do I join the Swimschool? We publish on our website the date for open bookings towards the end of each term (March, July, December) and bookings are taken on a first come first serve basis. Do you offer a trial session? Due to running our lessons at almost full capacity we are unable to offer trial lessons. My child can swim but they aren't currently in a Stage, how do I know which Stage to book them in for? We can arrange an assessment to see which stage would be most suitable for them.
