We are pleased to announce after a lot of planning we have successfully passed the ISO14001 accreditation.

ISO 14001 is a tried and tested approach to demonstrate our commitment to reducing our environmental impact. It helps reduce waste and costs.

The British Assessment Bureau is the UK’s number one choice for ISO 14001 Certification and they attended Aspire on 9th January to carry out an in depth audit with Centre Manager - Dean Tearle and Facilities Manager Leigh Hewitt.

Leigh Hewitt - Green Champion says "I am delighted with the result, we have worked hard to implement an environmental plan and measures to reduce our impact such as LED lights, new sand filters, reducing single use plastic and better monitoring of our utility consumption."

Dean Tearle says "Our two Green Champions Leigh and Declan really have made vast improvements to make us more energy efficient and there is still more to do. It was inspiring to be one of the first leisure centres to remove the use of single use plastic overshoes in November and I am very proud of our achievement".
