We are delighted to announce that Aspire Leisure Centre re-opened on Saturday 25th July. Initially we have only opened to Premier Members and things are a little different to usual to ensure our staff and customers are safe.

We automatically froze memberships while the facility was closed, however all memberships have now been unfrozen, unless you told us you did not wish to have your membership re-activated. From 1st October 2020, a £5.00 per month freeze fee will be collected from all frozen memberships. 


Allocated sessions

  • We need to restrict the number of customers on site and ensure social distancing therefore all sessions must be pre-booked via our app, website or by emailing [email protected] 
  • Premier members can book 10 days in advance. If you do not have your online login details please email [email protected]
  • You will need to access Aspire via Wood Lane, if you have an Aspire parking permit please ensure it is displayed to show the security at the gate.  If you do not have a permit please give your name and activity and then collect a permit when you leave the centre for your next visit.  Please arrive on time (but not too early) for your session.
  • Each slot will be one hour (50 mins for Badminton) and this will include arrival and departure times. Upon entry a staff member will take your temperature and ask you three questions:

Do you have a fever or a cough? Have you lost your sense of taste or smell? Does anyone in your household have symptoms? If you have a high temperature or answers yes to any of the questions you will not be allowed access. Please do not come to the centre if you are unwell.

  • You will not be allowed to move from one activity to another for safety and hygiene reasons unless you are visiting the café.
  • There will be no access to the sports hall balcony during July and August
  • Members will be able to take part in our fitness classes virtually via Zoom – details will be available on our website and app
  • Failure to attend a booked session will incur a £2.00 charge on your account

Please make sure you have your app /website login details so you can book the sessions you need. If you don’t have this, please email [email protected] and we will send them to you.


Changing rooms and toilets

  • Dry side changing rooms will be open however we advise against using the showers and numbers will be limited in these areas.
  • Toilets will be available if required
  • Wet side changing rooms will be open but no vanity or hair drying facilities will be available.
  • Lockers will not be available, swimmers will be asked to place belongings in a basket which can be brought with you onto poolside.


Cleanliness and hygiene

  • We will have an enhance cleaning regime and cleaning slots between each bookable session.
  • Gym users will be given a disinfectant spray bottle on entry to the gym and expected to clean equipment after use.
  • There will be hand sanitisers available at key locations around the building, please use them
  • You may bring a clean towel, but please do not bring any other belongings, come ready to work out.
  • Drinking fountains will not be available - please bring your own water.
  • Please ensure you respect other users and maintain social distancing as per government guidelines.
