We have sent an email today to all Premier members of Aspire. If you did not receive the email, please let us know at [email protected]

Dear Member,

Following the announcement by the Prime Minister regarding COVID-19 on the 20th of March, we will be closing the Aspire Leisure Centre with immediate effect.  The Centre will remain closed until further notice.  The safety and wellbeing of our staff and you, our member, is our first priority.

We are constantly monitoring the situation and will aim to keep you updated with any developments regarding the Centre. Please check for updates via our Free App, website and social media pages.

We wish to thank you for your support and understanding.  During this unprecedented period we will automatically freeze your membership with no fee to pay until our Centre is able to re-open.  If you have paid for an annual Premier Membership or Centre Card Membership we will credit your membership for the length of time we are closed.

Aspire is a national Spinal Cord Injury Charity and as such does not receive any statutory funding to support our services.  During these incredibly challenging times we will be continuing to try to provide support to spinal cord injured people who are one of this highest risk members of our society.  We would like to ask you to consider continuing to pay the value of your membership or a percentage of it as a donation.  In addition to the value of your membership we can claim an extra 25% Gift Aid from the Treasury. Without charitable donations from the public our services are under threat which could leave some of the most vulnerable people in society without support.  If you would be kind enough and wish to donate the value of your membership then please reply to this email.

Staying active to help boost your immune system and look after your wellbeing is now more important than ever before.  Please keep exercising in any way you can and stay safe and well.  Our very best wishes to you, your family and loved ones.  Please take care and we will look forward to welcoming you back the Aspire Leisure Centre in the future.

Best wishes,

Brian Carlin
